One example is the relocation project of Hongtaiyang Boutique Co., which boasts an annual production of 100,000 tons of ready-to-eat seaweed products, 30,000 tons of assorted pickles, and 5,000 tons of soy products. This demonstrates the industry’s thriving potential. Furthermore, Putian has developed several specialized prefabricated food industrial parks, such as the Yaming Prefabricated Food Industrial Park and Chengyi Prefabricated Food Industrial Park, promoting the industry’s concentrated and large-scale development.
Among these, the Xiuyu Abalone Science and Technology Industrial Park is a national leader in abalone processing and an important base for prefabricated food production. The park covers a total area of 162 acres, with more than 10 leading domestic prefabricated food companies, including Shanghai Maijindi Group, planning to set up operations. The total investment is projected to exceed 3.5 billion yuan. The company’s flagship “Fresh-Lock” prefabricated food series is the result of this technological innovation, combining quick-freezing technology with food processing to preserve ingredient freshness.
Similarly, Putian Shangwei Central Kitchen Catering Management Co., Ltd. is accelerating the construction of a new production line, focusing on technical improvements to enhance the craftsmanship of its “Fresh-Lock” ready-to-eat meals. According to company head Luo Fujin, the new production line is expected to be operational by the end of this year, aiming to gain a competitive advantage in the ready-meal market. To this end, the company has signed a technical cooperation agreement with Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a “Fresh-Lock” standard for prefabricated foods, further enhancing product competitiveness in the market.
